Islamabad Police Arrest 38 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation, the Islamabad Police arrested 38 individuals and seized significant quantities of drugs and weapons, underscoring the city’s ongoing efforts to combat crime. According to Islamabad Capital Police, law enforcement teams apprehended 23 suspects involved in various criminal activities, confiscating 1,671 grams of ice, 1,625 grams of hashish, 1,330 grams of heroin, 18 pistols, a rifle, a Kalashnikov, and ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.



The arrests were part of a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, which resulted in the apprehension of 15 additional suspects. These actions follow directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security in the federal capital.



SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police force’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, stressing that disrupting public peace will not be tolerated. The Islamabad Police urge residents to report suspicious activities promptly to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to support collaborative efforts in crime prevention.
