PPP Prioritizes Equal Development in Karachi, Says Karamullah Waqasi

Karachi: The Sindh government and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation have reiterated their commitment to the development of Karachi, with a focus on equitable infrastructure improvement across the city’s 24 towns. Karamullah Waqasi, spokesperson for Mayor Karachi and Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentary Leader in the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, emphasized the ongoing collaborative efforts between the Sindh government and Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab to modernize the city’s infrastructure.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, Waqasi criticized Jamaat-e-Islami, accusing its leadership of misleading the public and engaging in political point-scoring. He dismissed remarks made by Saifuddin Advocate, Acting Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, as misleading and politically motivated.

Waqasi highlighted several transformative projects under the supervision of Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, including the Red Line BRT, Yellow Line, and other modern transport systems. He stressed that these efforts are indicative of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s commitment to Karachi’s development.

The spokesperson also noted the allocation of billions of rupees for road rehabilitation and sewerage improvement projects throughout the city. He urged Jamaat-e-Islami to support development initiatives rather than spreading misinformation and criticized their past failure to provide a comprehensive strategy for resolving civic issues.

Waqasi concluded by reaffirming the Sindh government’s dedication to transforming Karachi into a modern international city and called on opposition parties to support efforts for the city’s betterment.
