KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Karachi Division held a large-scale public event at Nishan-e-Pakistan, Sea View Clifton, on Saturday to mark the first anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq” (Battle for Truth) and to honor Pakistan’s armed forces and martyrs. The celebration, which drew thousands of attendees, featured national songs, fireworks, and cultural performances. Prominent PPP figures, including Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, participated in the event, emphasizing the unity and defense capabilities of the nation.
According to Chief Minister Sindh, the event was viewed not just as a celebration but as a national festival showcasing Pakistan’s resilience and defense strength. Murad Shah and other PPP leaders paid homage to the armed forces and remembered the sacrifices of martyrs. The leaders highlighted the historical role of the PPP in establishing and advancing Pakistan’s nuclear and missile programs, initiated by Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and furthered by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The event concluded with patriotic slogans and enthusiastic participation from the crowd, underscoring the party’s commitment to national defense and sovereignty.
