Chairman Senate Honors Armed Forces and Nation on Anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos


Islamabad: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, paid tribute to the armed forces and the nation on the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos during the occasion of Youm e Maarka e Haq. He highlighted the operation as a pivotal moment in Pakistan’s history, showcasing the country’s resolve to protect its sovereignty and security.



According to Senate of Pakistan, Gilani emphasized that Maarka-e-Haq was more than a military victory; it was a testament to the unity and determination of the Pakistani people. He praised the armed forces for their professional and decisive response to aggression, affirming Pakistan’s constant readiness to defend its territory.



Gilani honored the martyrs who sacrificed their lives, acknowledging their contributions as a source of national pride. He also praised the families of the martyrs for their courage and resilience. Additionally, he commended the leadership and security forces for their excellence and bravery.



In his message, Gilani recognized the contributions of various sectors of society, including the youth, media, and diplomats, in reinforcing the national narrative and defense capabilities. He noted that national unity is Pakistan’s greatest strength, with political and military leadership and public confidence being crucial in overcoming challenges.



The Chairman Senate reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace while affirming its readiness to defend its sovereignty. He called for a renewed national pledge for a strong and stable Pakistan and prayed for the protection and unity of the nation.
