Poverty in Pakistan declining due to Government’s policies of productivity-led growth: Prime Minister

Islamabad, October 29, 2021 (PPI-OT):Prime Minister Imran Khan has said poverty in Pakistan is declining due to government’s policies of productivity-led growth to create employment in the country. In a tweet, he said according to the World Bank estimates poverty incidence has fallen to 4.8 percent in the current fiscal year from 5.3 percent in the last fiscal year. The Prime Minister said this trend is expected to continue downwards to four percent by fiscal year 2023.
