Political Leaders and Officials March in Islamabad to Support Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal


Islamabad: Leaders and members from various political, religious, and social organizations, along with students and Foreign Office personnel, participated in a solidarity walk from the Foreign Office to Parliament House in Islamabad on Youm-e-Istehsal, expressing support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).



According to Kashmir Media Service, the walk was led by Federal Minister of Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam and featured addresses by notable figures, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Kashmir Affairs Amir Muqam, and former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Tanveer Ilyas. The entire Hurriyat leadership also participated.



Speakers at the event condemned India’s unilateral abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A on August 5, 2019, denouncing it as a violation of international norms and a threat to global peace. They voiced strong support for the Kashmiri people’s freedom movement and criticized ongoing human rights violations in the region.



Similar protests took place across Pakistan, including a torch-carrying rally in Jhelum Valley, Azad Kashmir, organized by the Tehreek Shabab Muslimeen Jammu and Kashmir Student Wing.



In Samahni, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a rally led by Hurriyat leader Imtiaz Ahmed Butt saw significant participation, including figures such as Jamaat-e-Islami Tehsil Samahni’s Amir Abdul Karim and Assistant Commissioner of Tehsil Samahni Omar Tariq.



The observance of Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir reaffirms Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and their struggle for freedom.
