PM’s Aide Emphasizes Transparent Appointments in Key Industries


Islamabad: A high-level meeting led by Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, was held at the Ministry of Industries and Production to address the appointment process for Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officers in significant institutions overseen by the ministry.



During the meeting, Akhtar underscored the crucial role that Board members and CEOs play in the performance and success of public sector organizations. He emphasized that these positions require leadership that aligns with the principles of transparency and merit, reflecting the Prime Minister’s vision.



Akhtar stated that the effectiveness of government institutions is directly linked to the capabilities of their leadership. He instructed the Ministry to accelerate the appointment process for CEOs and requested the immediate submission of proposed names and profiles for Board of Directors positions.



The meeting demonstrated the government’s commitment to enhancing institutional governance through capable leadership. In the forthcoming meeting, the proposed profiles and names for the Board of Directors and CEO positions will be reviewed for consideration.
