PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Commitment to Defend Pakistan’s Sovereignty

Quetta: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity against any potential threats. Addressing faculty and student officers at the Command and Staff College in Quetta, the Prime Minister emphasized the nation’s determination to protect its borders at all costs.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his address, Prime Minister Sharif praised the professionalism and operational readiness of the Pakistan Armed Forces, acknowledging their sacrifices in maintaining national sovereignty and ensuring peace and stability. He paid homage to the fallen soldiers and the steadfast dedication of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation.

Highlighting the historical achievements of the military, Sharif referred to the victory of Pakistan Armed Forces in Marka-e-Haq under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He noted Pakistan’s responsible response to what he described as India’s unprovoked aggression, a stance that he claimed was recognized by the international community.

The Prime Minister also addressed Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, which he stated continues with determination to protect innocent citizens from Afghan Taliban-based terrorist threats and to target terrorist bases and infrastructure.

Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s consistent support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Palestine. He recognized the significance of military diplomacy and cooperation, noting Pakistan’s role as a regional stabilizer contributing to peace and progress.

Prime Minister Sharif was accompanied by Federal Ministers for Defence, Interior, and Information, along with the Chief Minister of Balochistan. Upon his arrival at the Command and Staff College, he was received by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
