PM Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Discuss Regional Situation in Jeddah

Jeddah: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in Jeddah to discuss the evolving regional situation. The meeting, which lasted almost two hours, focused on peace efforts and bilateral relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed condolences over recent loss of lives and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s patience and restraint in dealing with regional issues. The Prime Minister shared Pakistan’s role in facilitating a U.S.-Iran ceasefire and recent talks held in Islamabad.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated the efforts of Prime Minister Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in advancing the peace process. The leaders also discussed bilateral issues, with Prime Minister Sharif thanking Saudi Arabia for its ongoing economic support to Pakistan. He emphasized the strategic defense partnership under the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement.

Both leaders reiterated their commitment to maintaining close cooperation on mutual interests, underscoring the unique relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
