PM Shehbaz Reaffirms Support for Saudi Arabia Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty during a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, emphasizing solidarity against recent Houthi militia attacks.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister expressed strong condemnation of the Houthi militia’s attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, highlighting the actions as violations of international law that threaten regional peace and stability. He assured the Crown Prince of Pakistan’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with the Kingdom and the international community for regional security and the protection of maritime commerce routes.

In their conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed his regards to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, while the Crown Prince acknowledged Pakistan’s consistent support and the strong fraternal relationship between the two nations.
