PM Praises Overseas Pakistanis for Record Remittances Boost

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the record remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis, which crossed the four billion dollar mark in March. The Prime Minister extended his gratitude to the expatriates for their contribution to the country’s economic stability.

In an official statement, the Prime Minister acknowledged the efforts of overseas Pakistanis, emphasizing that the remittances reflect their dedication and trust in the national economy. According to data from the State Bank of Pakistan, remittances reached a record high of 4.1 billion dollars in March 2025. The total remittances for the current fiscal year have amounted to 28 billion dollars.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that the record-breaking remittances signal a strong confidence in the government’s policies. He described overseas Pakistanis as a valuable asset to the nation, underscoring their role in bolstering economic resilience.

The Prime Minister also assured that the government remains committed to providing all possible facilities to overseas Pakistanis. He emphasized the pride the nation takes in the hard work and contributions of these individuals, reaffirming the government’s dedication to supporting them in their endeavors.
