Pakistan Denounces Israeli Bombing of Gaza Hospital

Islamabad: Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of the bombing of the Baptist Hospital in Gaza by Israeli forces, labeling it a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. The attack, which occurred on Palm Sunday, has been characterized by Pakistan as indicative of Israel’s disregard for religious sanctity and civilian safety.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad has called for an immediate cessation of Israeli military actions in Gaza, highlighting the severe impact on civilian lives and infrastructure. The statement emphasized the indiscriminate loss of life among Palestinians, including women and children, and noted the systematic destruction of essential services.

Pakistan’s government asserts that the ongoing Israeli assaults have severely impacted Gaza’s healthcare system, leaving critically ill patients without necessary medical care. The statement also referenced the blockade on humanitarian aid as part of a strategy to prolong suffering in the region.

In its statement, Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to a two-state solution, advocating for an independent and sovereign State of Palestine based on pre-June 1967 borders, with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital.

The Ministry urged the international community to take decisive measures to hold Israel accountable for its actions and to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians from further violence.
