Islamabad, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has issued a stark warning about the potential trans-regional repercussions of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He emphasized the need for Western nations, especially the United States and the United Kingdom, to engage more robustly and influence Israel to prevent further destabilization.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in his discussion with Arab News, the Prime Minister called for an immediate end to the violence, denouncing Israel’s military actions as genocide. He stressed that the disproportionate use of force and the loss of children’s lives could not be justified under the guise of self-defense.
Prime Minister Kakar announced his plan to attend an extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Riyadh, aimed at addressing Israel’s attacks on Palestine. He expressed that the Muslim world needs to introspect and advance in the fields of science, technology, and defense to combat such challenges. The Prime Minister also offered a critique of governance structures within Muslim nations, suggesting that the issues they face extend beyond the conflict in Palestine.
