Islamabad: Petroleum dealers and pump associations have pledged their full cooperation with the government’s fuel relief scheme, following a meeting chaired by Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervaiz Malik, in Islamabad. The meeting underscored the importance of coordination among stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the initiative.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister informed attendees that funds for the scheme have been secured for three months, with twenty-five billion rupees already disbursed to the State Bank of Pakistan for the initial month. The meeting also included a briefing on the implementation procedures and key aspects of the scheme, aimed at providing relief to the public.

The State Bank of Pakistan assured that all claims under the scheme would be processed within forty-eight hours, facilitating prompt reimbursement. Additionally, the Ministry of IT has set up a special control room for petrol pump assistance and grievance resolution, accessible via the helpline 9772.

Petroleum dealers acknowledged the fuel relief scheme as a crucial initiative for public support, expressing their commitment to its success.
