ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s tech industry is experiencing significant growth driven by the talent and potential of its young workforce, according to Shaza Fatima, the Minister for Information Technology. During a visit to Huawei’s Global Service Center in Islamabad, she emphasized the competitive edge of Pakistan’s IT talent, highlighting its cost-effectiveness and quality.

According to Radio Pakistan, Shaza Fatima underscored the increasing role of the country’s young professionals in the services industry, which she described as a key pillar of the national economy and a vital source of foreign exchange earnings. The Minister noted a robust annual growth rate of approximately twenty percent in IT exports, affirming the government’s commitment to meeting the ambitious target of twenty-five billion dollars in IT exports set by the Prime Minister.

Shaza Fatima also spoke about the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and China, expressing confidence in Huawei’s potential to expand its presence and investment in Pakistan.
