Pakistan’s Resilience Highlighted Amid Regional Pressures, Security Concerns

Washington: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized that Pakistan has emerged stronger despite facing regional challenges, economic pressures, and security threats. His remarks were made during an event at the Pakistan Embassy in Washington D.C., marking Pakistan Day.

During his address, Ambassador Sheikh highlighted the crucial role of Pakistanis residing in the United States, referring to them as permanent ambassadors who contribute to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. He encouraged the Pakistani-American community to continue fostering a positive image of Pakistan and to play a significant role in the development of both nations.

The event also featured remarks from Eric Meyer, Senior Bureau Official for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, who reiterated the United States’ commitment to a strong and sustainable partnership with Pakistan. Meyer emphasized that the partnership extends across economic, security, educational, and cultural domains, and expressed eagerness to further enhance these relations.
