Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, has emphasized the need for an assertive representation of Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir and Palestine issues at the United Nations. This directive was issued during meetings with Pakistan’s diplomatic representatives in Islamabad.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Prime Minister Kakar held discussions with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Munir Akram, and other top diplomats. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of effectively highlighting the Kashmir dispute and the Palestine issue on the international stage.
During his meeting with Ambassador of Pakistan to the US Masood Khan and High Commissioner of Pakistan to the UK Dr Muhammad Faisal, the diplomats briefed the Prime Minister on the performance of their missions and sought guidance on the country’s foreign policy. PM Kakar highlighted the need for Pakistani diplomats to conduct roadshows to attract foreign investors under the platform of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). He emphasized the identification of new opportunities for economic cooperation at the international level.
Prime Minister Kakar also underscored the importance of the overseas Pakistani community, describing them as a national asset. He directed Pakistani embassies and consuls to prioritize solving the problems faced by the overseas community.
This move reflects Pakistan’s continued commitment to advocating for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute and supporting the cause of Palestine. The Prime Minister’s instructions indicate a strategic approach towards engaging with international forums and utilizing diplomatic channels to further Pakistan’s foreign policy objectives, especially in matters concerning human rights and regional stability.
