Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Celebrates China’s 75th Foundation Day


Islamabad: On the eve of the 75th Foundation Day of the Republic of China, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, extended warm congratulations to the Chinese leadership and people. The Speaker praised the enduring partnership between Pakistan and China, highlighting shared initiatives that have bolstered regional stability and economic growth.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq’s message specifically acknowledged Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Hon. Zhao Leji. He commended the visionary leadership of the late Chairman Mao Zedong, crediting him with China’s rise to socio-economic prominence and its status as a global economic power.



The Speaker emphasized the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a cornerstone of the One-Belt and One-Road initiative, which he said is set to revolutionize international trade and elevate Pakistan’s economy through enhanced global connectivity. He noted the strategic cooperative partnership formed between the two nations, which has strengthened diplomatic ties and contributed to regional socio-economic and political stability.



Sadiq also lauded the broader positive impacts of Sino-Pak cooperation, suggesting that the partnership has created unprecedented opportunities for the entire region. This relationship has been instrumental in forming key international coalitions like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and aligning the two nations on critical issues such as climate change at multilateral forums.
