Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance Stresses Importance of Sustaining Economic Growth

Islamabad, Minister of State for Finance and Revenue, Ali Pervaiz Malik, has underscored the critical need to maintain the ongoing economic momentum to effectively combat the cycle of poverty in Pakistan. This comes in light of recent government efforts aimed at achieving inclusive and sustainable growth across the nation.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, speaking at the closing ceremony of a two-day workshop on “Parliamentary Proceedings and Budget Process” in Islamabad, Malik detailed the successes of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration in stabilizing the economy. The Minister highlighted the government’s success in averting a potential financial default, which has led to a stabilization of economic indicators.

Malik pointed to significant reductions in food inflation, current account deficits, and the easing pressure on the Pakistani rupee as direct results of the government’s prudent economic policies. These measures have contributed to a sustained economic improvement that is crucial for the country’s long-term prosperity.
