RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Lebanon. The announcement came after a meeting with Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al Hajjar in Rawalpindi, where both officials discussed enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Munir expressed a desire to expand mutually beneficial ties, particularly in the security domain. The discussions included views on the evolving regional security environment and the prospects for further enhancing bilateral relations. The importance of strengthening institutional connections and fostering collaboration between the security institutions of Pakistan and Lebanon was a focal point of the meeting.
Minister Al Hajjar acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to regional peace and stability, commending the professionalism and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in combating terrorism.
