Washington: The U.S. Congressional Pakistan Caucus convened a significant symposium on Capitol Hill to discuss the enduring and evolving dynamics of Pakistan-U.S. relations. The event, featuring experts from the U.S. Department of State, American think tanks, former ambassadors, and specialists in security and economic affairs, delved into the past, present, and future of bilateral relations between the two nations, with a particular focus on security and economic collaborations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Paul Kapur highlighted on X social media platform that recent positive developments in Pakistan-U.S. relations, particularly during President Trump’s administration, have fostered mutually advantageous partnerships in the economic sector, including mineral exploration. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, emphasized that the partnership between the two countries, which host some of the world’s largest populations, is not merely a choice but a critical necessity for global peace and security.

Ambassador Sheikh underscored Pakistan’s frontline role in combating terrorism and its numerous contributions to regional and global peace efforts. He reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to continue its active participation in promoting global peace, reflecting the country’s long-standing commitment to fostering stability and security in the region and beyond.
