Pakistani Prime Minister Pledges Support to Myanmar After Earthquake


Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended his condolences to Myanmar following a destructive earthquake that struck on March 28, resulting in significant casualties and damage. In a phone call with Myanmar’s Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Prime Minister Sharif expressed Pakistan’s sympathies and offered assistance to the affected communities.



The Prime Minister announced that Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority would send approximately 70 tons of relief supplies to Myanmar within 48 hours. These efforts are in line with Pakistan’s commitment to provide humanitarian support during crises.



The conversation between the two leaders highlighted the solidarity shared between the nations during this difficult time. Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s timely aid and described it as a meaningful gesture of friendship.



Rescue and relief operations continue in Myanmar as authorities work to support the earthquake’s victims.
