Lahore: At the recently concluded National Inter-Departmental Karate Championship, held at the Nishtar Sports Hall Complex within Gaddafi Stadium from October 5 to 9, athletes from the Pakistan Police team showcased exceptional skill and competitiveness, securing a total of six medals. This performance placed them among the top contenders in a field that included representatives from various national departments such as the Pakistan Army, WAPDA, Railways, and the Higher Education Commission.
According to Punjab Police, the police athletes won three silver and three bronze medals, competing against nearly 200 other male and female participants. Additional IG Operations Punjab, Shehzada Sultan, who also serves as the patron of the Pakistan Police Karate Team, met with the medalists to extend his congratulations for their stellar performances. In recognition of their achievements, Sultan announced that the winners would receive cash prizes and CC-1 certificates, aiming to boost morale and encourage further excellence in their sporting careers.
