Pakistani Minister Invites German Companies to Invest in Pakistan


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, extended an invitation to German companies to explore investment prospects within Pakistan. The invitation was extended during a meeting with German Ambassador to Pakistan, Ina Lepel, in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister expressed appreciation for Germany’s enduring economic collaboration with Pakistan and its role in relation to the European Union’s Generalized Scheme of Preferences (GSP Plus) scheme. Ambassador Lepel, in turn, acknowledged Pakistan’s legislative advancements and noted positive developments in areas pertinent to the GSP Plus, indicating Pakistan’s commitment to reforms and enhancement of institutional mechanisms.



The Ambassador underscored the necessity of converting legislative measures into effective implementation with measurable outcomes and tangible benefits for the populace. Both parties engaged in discussions on enhancing bilateral trade, investment, and business-to-business cooperation between Germany and Pakistan.
