Brussels, January 18, 2023 (PPI-OT):Pakistani and Kashmiri community gave a farewell ceremony in honour of Pakistan’s new Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad Majeed Khan who has worked as Pakistan’s ambassador to the European Union, Belgium and Luxembourg. Chairman, Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU), Ali Raza Syed met Pakistan’s new Foreign Secretary Dr. Asad Majeed Khan on the occasion and appreciated his services for improving Pakistan-EU relations and highlighting the Kashmir issue in Europe.
Pakistani community based in Belgium organized the function in his honour in Brussels. During the talks with Ali Raza Syed, the new Foreign Secretary appreciated the efforts of Kashmir Council EU in highlighting the Kashmir issue in Europe and hoped that these efforts will continue with a new dimension. The Foreign Secretary is on a visit to Belgium after assuming new office. The event was held at a local restaurant and was attended by important personalities from the Pakistani and Kashmiri communities.
The community members especially thanked Dr. Khan for taking various initiatives during his short diplomatic tenure in Belgium. During his diplomatic service spanned over less than a year in Brussels, Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan took several steps to diversify Pakistan’s bilateral relations with Belgium and Luxembourg. He also remained engaged with the Pakistani community with a commitment to solving their problems.
