Pakistani Government Unveils Initiatives to Empower Youth: PM Sharif Announces Comprehensive Programs at CAYA Summit

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has affirmed the Pakistani government’s commitment to empowering youth through a series of transformative initiatives. Speaking at the inaugural session of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Summit, the Prime Minister highlighted various programs aimed at equipping young people with the skills and tools necessary for their development.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the “Youth Programme,” which has already benefited millions across Pakistan. He underscored the demographic significance of the youth, noting that they make up more than sixty percent of the Commonwealth population.

Prime Minister Sharif detailed plans to enhance training and technology access, allowing young individuals to contribute effectively to a peaceful, progressive, and prosperous future. He highlighted that Pakistan, as a founding member of the Commonwealth, values its role within the organization and the potential of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance to address global challenges.

The Prime Minister also addressed the country’s youth bulge, stressing the importance of providing platforms and opportunities for youth involvement in nation-building. He mentioned several initiatives, including the “Punjab Education Endowment Fund” and “Daanish Schools,” which are now expanding to various regions, and the distribution of six hundred thousand laptops to high achievers under the Youth Programme.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Sharif encouraged the youth to dream ambitiously and work with conviction as pioneers of the future. He also administered the oath to the newly elected National Youth Council and presented awards to high achievers from multiple fields.
