Islamabad, March 14, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistani government is committed to taking care of the rights of workers, their children’s education, and family health, said Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Mr. Sajid Turi in a function held in Quetta. He distributed checks to widows and deserving labourer’s and miners and also inaugurated the website and online app of the Workers Welfare Board Baluchistan to enable deserving people to apply for welfare grants. Applications can be submitted online, eliminating the need for people to come to Quetta from remote areas.
“The People’s Party, under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, is taking practical steps to raise the voice for the rights of workers and to remove the deprivations of Baluchistan”, Mr. Turi added. He said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto enacted legislation for the rights of workers so that the labourers are independent and prosperous in all respects.
He said that under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the People’s Party will not only raise its voice for the rights of workers but is also taking regular practical steps. The Workers Welfare Board is committed to providing all kinds of welfare to workers, including free education for their children working for folk grammar schools with books and copies, and medical facilities for their families.
The Board will also provide technical education and vocational training to youth and women in Baluchistan to make them independent and prosperous. In addition to paying attention to the resources and problems of the Workers Welfare Board, Minister Turi has paid the death grant, marriage grant, and scholarship, and increased the death grant, marriage grant, and other benefits to workers.
He announced an increase in the pension of Jihad EOBI and inaugurated a labour colony in Baluchistan, with plans to build more colonies so that every worker in the country has his own home. Labour unions have thanked Minister Turi for his efforts and expressed hope that he will fully cooperate in solving all their problems.
