Pakistan Urges Diplomatic Solution in Congo Conflict


New York: Pakistan has endorsed a United Nations resolution addressing the ongoing conflict in Congo, emphasizing the need for a diplomatic approach to resolve the situation.



According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan’s Alternate Permanent Representative to the U.N., Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, addressed the U.N. Security Council, advocating for dialogue and diplomacy. He highlighted the importance of all parties acknowledging that military means cannot provide a solution to the conflict.



Ambassador Ahmad urged stakeholders to prioritize the peace and mediation processes, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to supporting international efforts for a peaceful resolution in Congo.
