Pakistan Urges Action on Global Human Rights Violations and Religious Intolerance

New York: Pakistan has urged the Human Rights Council to maintain consistent and impartial attention to significant human rights violations, particularly in situations involving foreign occupation and the denial of peoples’ right to self-determination. These remarks were delivered by Pakistan’s Acting Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Usman Jadoon, during a session at the General Assembly where the Human Rights Council’s report was presented.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Jadoon expressed concern about the increasing prevalence of Islamophobia, religious intolerance, racism, and xenophobia. He called for sustained international efforts to combat these issues and promote mutual respect, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
