Pakistan to Strengthen Collaboration with IFC Across Multiple Sectors


Islamabad, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has committed to enhancing collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in several key areas, including securitization of remittances, mining, airport management, and capacity-building.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Finance Minister met with Hela Cheikhrouhou, the IFC’s Regional Vice President for the Middle East, Central Asia, Turkiye, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, in Washington DC. During the meeting, Minister Aurangzeb outlined the progress of ongoing reforms within Pakistan’s taxation, energy, and privatization sectors.



The commitment to work closely with the IFC reflects Pakistan’s strategic focus on strengthening its economic infrastructure and improving efficiency in critical sectors through international partnerships. This collaboration aims to enhance the country’s economic resilience and further its development objectives.
