Karachi: In a significant move towards addressing urban development issues, Director General of Karachi Development Authority, Syed Shujaat Hussain, met with representatives from the All Karachi Real Estate Association United Group. The meeting focused on a collaborative approach to resolving long-standing problems related to land and infrastructure development in Karachi.
According to Karachi Development Authority, the discussions centered on various pressing issues, with particular attention to the difficulties faced by the real estate sector. DG Hussain issued immediate orders to resolve the concerns raised by the delegation and stressed the need for strengthening the partnership between KDA and the All Karachi Real Estate Association. The delegates advocated for reactivating a joint committee to ensure ongoing cooperation and support for the KDA’s initiatives under Hussain’s leadership.
DG Hussain highlighted the ongoing efforts to streamline land-related processes through the verification and complete computerization of records, a measure expected to significantly reduce land-related disputes. He also detailed the KDA’s current development projects across the city, including road carpeting and sewerage system installations in Sarjani Town, which had been stalled for several years.
The meeting was attended by key figures from both the KDA and the All Karachi Real Estate Association, including Senior Director Land Real Andhar, Director Land Asif Raza Chandio, and other senior officials. This collaborative meeting marks a step forward in tackling the complex challenges facing Karachi’s urban landscape, aiming to enhance the quality of life for its residents through improved infrastructure and efficient administrative processes.
