Islamabad, President Dr. Arif Alvi has expressed Pakistan’s keen interest in expanding its trade and economic relations with friendly countries. This was articulated during his meetings with the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Portugal, Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz, and the Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Myanmar, Imran Haider, at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in his conversation with Dr. Muhammad Khalid Ejaz, President Alvi emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral trade relationships with Portugal. He advocated for the enhancement of political, cultural, and people-to-people contacts, as well as the strengthening of political exchanges between Pakistan and Portugal.
In a separate discussion with Imran Haider, the designated ambassador to Myanmar, President Alvi underscored the necessity of further cementing bilateral relations between the two countries. The meetings highlight Pakistan’s strategic efforts to foster deeper economic and diplomatic ties with both Portugal and Myanmar, reflecting a broader foreign policy aim of engaging more extensively with international partners.
