ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reiterated its dedication to diplomacy and international cooperation as essential pathways to achieving regional stability and global harmony. This commitment was emphasized by Tahir Andrabi, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his weekly media briefing.
According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi underscored the importance of constructive partnerships and sincere dialogue in advancing peace, security, and shared prosperity. Commenting on voices within India advocating dialogue with Pakistan, he described these as positive developments and expressed hope that this sentiment would prevail, potentially leading to an official response from India.
Addressing a CBS News report alleging the presence of Iranian aircraft at Nur Khan Airbase, Andrabi categorically denied the claims, labeling them misleading and sensationalized. He noted that such narratives could undermine efforts toward regional peace and stability.
Regarding the visit of former U.S. President Donald Trump to China, Andrabi highlighted Pakistan’s support for dialogue and cooperation between the two nations, especially concerning global peace and security matters. He expressed optimism for productive deliberations between the U.S. and China.
On the issue of Taiwan, Andrabi reaffirmed Pakistan’s adherence to the One-China principle, reiterating that Taiwan is an integral part of China. He pledged Pakistan’s support for China in both bilateral and multilateral forums, such as the United Nations and the World Health Assembly, emphasizing Pakistan’s consistent stance on the matter.
