Kabul: Pakistan reiterated its support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination during a ceremony at the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul. Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani emphasized the importance of this support as a core aspect of Pakistan’s foreign policy, stating the country’s commitment to advocating for the fundamental rights of Kashmiris at international platforms.

According to Press Information Department, Ambassador Nizamani criticized India’s actions in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, arguing that India has not secured legitimacy for its policies both domestically and internationally. Nizamani noted that Kashmiris continue to resist India’s efforts to alter the region’s demographics, maintaining unity in their quest for self-determination.

The ceremony also featured messages from key Pakistani leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar. A documentary highlighting India’s actions in the region was screened as part of the event’s proceedings.
