ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Denmark have inked a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate the Strategic Sector Cooperation Programme, aiming to strengthen energy relations between the two nations. The agreement was formalized in a signing ceremony attended by Dr. Fakhre Alam Irfan, Secretary of the Power Division, and Danish Ambassador Maja Derrous Mortensen, with Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari witnessing the event.
According to Radio Pakistan, this government-to-government initiative is set to deliver technical assistance from Danish energy specialists to Pakistani federal authorities. The collaboration is designed to accelerate Pakistan’s transition to green energy and bolster efforts towards climate change mitigation.
