New York: Pakistan has raised significant concerns at the United Nations regarding India’s alleged involvement in state-sponsored terrorism, which it claims is responsible for violence extending beyond its borders. Pakistan has accused India of utilizing terrorist proxies and engaging in extra-judicial assassinations.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a UN Security Council Open Debate, Counsellor Saima Saleem responded to India by highlighting the threat posed by groups such as the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), and Majeed Brigade Group. Saleem asserted that these organizations, which are supported and financed from bases in Afghanistan, have been responsible for the deaths of thousands of Pakistani civilians.

Saleem cited the Quetta train bombing on May 24 as an example of the impact of what Pakistan describes as India-sponsored terrorism. The attack, for which the BLA claimed responsibility, resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous men, women, and children who were traveling to celebrate Eid.
