Pakistan PM Prioritizes Foreign Investment, Chinese Firm to Expand Mining Operations


Islamabad, In a significant development aimed at bolstering foreign investment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has engaged with MCC Tongsin Resources, a Chinese company interested in expanding its investment in Pakistan’s mineral and mining sectors. During a meeting in Islamabad, the company’s chairman, Wang Jicheng, detailed plans for constructing a mineral park and further investments in the country.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister welcomed the company’s initiative and highlighted the government’s commitment to prioritizing foreign investment to stimulate economic growth and enhance exports.



The Prime Minister invited MCC Tongsin Resources to deepen their investment from mining operations to the production of export goods, promising full support for mineral extraction, processing, and exporting activities. He directed federal ministers and officers to engage with the Chinese firm and included directives to involve Balochistan’s Chief Minister and provincial departments in the consultation process, emphasizing the strategic importance of the partnership between China and Pakistan in various developmental projects.
