ISLAMABAD: In a significant display of operational prowess, the Pakistan Navy’s newly inducted submarine, PNS/M HANGOR, has successfully executed its first live weapon firing in the North Arabian Sea. The submarine accurately struck a designated long-range target using an anti-ship cruise missile, demonstrating its combat readiness.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the live weapon firing was observed by Admiral Naveed Ashraf NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff. The Chief praised the submarine’s capabilities and highlighted the strategic importance of bolstering subsurface operations to ensure credible maritime deterrence.

This achievement reflects the Pakistan Navy’s ongoing commitment to maintaining a modern and combat-ready naval force, aimed at protecting national maritime boundaries and contributing to regional stability.
