ISLAMABAD: In an initiative aimed at ensuring the prompt resolution of citizens’ issues, DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem has conducted open courts in various regions, including Koral, Kirpa, Lohi Bher, and Humak. This action was taken under the special directions of the Federal Minister for Interior and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, a significant number of citizens participated in these open forums, presenting their complaints directly to the DIG. In response, DIG Waseem issued immediate directives to the relevant officers for timely resolution of the issues raised. During the sessions, concerns about the investigation of certain cases were also highlighted. The DIG sought explanations from the concerned investigation officers and Station House Officers (SHOs) regarding any deficiencies in investigations and instructed them to address these complaints in line with legal standards.

DIG Islamabad Ali Waseem reiterated the Islamabad Police’s commitment to delivering justice on merit and facilitating the public. He stated that negligence and injustice in handling complaints would not be tolerated and emphasized the importance of open courts as a platform for citizens to voice their concerns without needing recommendations. The police force, he affirmed, remains dedicated to protecting citizens’ rights and ensuring the delivery of timely justice.
