Pakistan Issues Strong Demarche to Afghan Taliban Over Karachi Terrorist Attack

KARACHI: Pakistan has issued a strong demarche to the Afghan Taliban regime following a terrorist attack in Karachi, summoning the Afghan chargé d’affaires to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convey its concerns. The demarche was also communicated by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan to the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The move comes in response to the involvement of Afghan nationals in the attack, with one attacker apprehended alive.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the demarches were prompted by the use of Afghan soil and nationals in orchestrating the terrorist attack inside Pakistan. The Ministry’s spokesperson, Mr. Tahir Andrabi, stated that the incident underscores ongoing concerns about such activities and Pakistan’s demand for decisive action from the Afghan side.
