Pakistan, Iran agree to complete process of their PTA: Naveed 

Islamabad, August 18, 2022 (PPI-OT):Pakistan and Iran have agreed to complete the process of their preferential trade agreement in a matter of six months. The understanding came at a meeting of Pakistan, Iran Joint Economic Commission in Islamabad.

Addressing a news conference, Minister for Commerce Naveed Qamar said both the sides have also agreed to start negotiations on transit agreements which will allow movement of goods without any additional taxes or tariffs. He said tariff and non-tariff barriers will be brought down to bolster trade between the two countries to the full potential.

Naveed Qamar said six border markets will also be established which will later be made free economic zones to enable investors of both the countries to set up their industries for import and export purposes.
