Baku: Pakistan’s federal and provincial governments are currently implementing projects aimed at addressing the challenges posed by climate change, Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination Dr. Musadik Malik announced. Speaking at the 13th session of the World Urban Forum in Baku, he underscored the impact of recent floods in Pakistan, which have significantly affected the country.
According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Malik stressed that the floods have had a devastating effect, pushing many families back into poverty after their homes were destroyed. He also highlighted the importance of affordable housing, advocating for it to be recognized as a basic right for all citizens.
