London: The Pakistan High Commission in London organized a seminar to mark “Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir,” condemning India’s actions on August 5, 2019, when it revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The event was attended by British Parliamentarians and community leaders who expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and urged for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

According to Press Information Department, the seminar included notable attendees such as Lord Qurban Hussain, Baroness Nosheena Mobarik, and Afzal Khan MP. Prominent community leaders like Councillor Yasmine Dar and Raja Najabat Hussain were also present. Participants criticized India’s revocation of Article 370, advocating for the restoration of rights and special status for Jammu and Kashmir, and adherence to United Nations Security Council resolutions.

High Commissioner Tipu Usman, in his keynote address, called on the international community, especially the United Kingdom, to support justice for Kashmir. He urged India to reverse its actions from August 5, 2019, and to respect the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination. The seminar included messages from high-ranking Pakistani officials and a moment of silence for Kashmiri martyrs.
