New York: Pakistan has raised grave concerns regarding the escalating conflict in Ukraine during an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council. The meeting was convened at the request of Russia, highlighting the urgent need for dialogue amid the intensifying situation.
According to Radio Pakistan, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as means to achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Ahmad reiterated Pakistan’s consistent position, advocating for negotiations as the primary approach to settle disputes and expressed the country’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at a comprehensive and lasting peace.
