Government Announces Week-Long Reduction in Petroleum Prices

Islamabad: The Government has announced a temporary reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective for one week starting today. The latest prices reflect a decrease in the cost of high-speed diesel and petrol, marking a brief respite for consumers.

According to a Press Release of the Ministry of Energy, the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by 6.8 rupees per litre, setting the new price at 402.78 rupees. Similarly, the price of petrol has been lowered by 6 rupees per litre, with the new rate now at 403.78 rupees. Radio Pakistan has circulated this information, emphasizing the short-term nature of the price adjustment.
