ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is actively engaging with Iran in a diplomatic effort to mediate ongoing tensions, according to Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar. The minister emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in a post on the social media platform X, noting that Pakistan is awaiting a formal response from Iran regarding its participation in the Islamabad Peace Talks.
According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar highlighted the significance of Iran’s decision to attend the talks, particularly as the current ceasefire is set to expire at 4:50 a.m. tomorrow. The minister conveyed that Pakistan has been making dedicated efforts to persuade Iranian leadership to join the second round of discussions, with these endeavors still underway. The outcome of Iran’s decision is deemed critical in the context of the diplomatic initiative.
