Pakistan Endorses Political Developments in Syria at UN Meeting


New York: Pakistan has expressed approval for the ongoing recovery and political developments in Syria. During a United Nations Security Council briefing focused on Syria’s humanitarian and political conditions, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, emphasized the need for continued UN involvement and reinforced international backing to bridge the humanitarian funding shortfall. He also reiterated the importance of respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.



According to Radio Pakistan, Ahmad’s remarks come at a time when Syria is showing signs of political stabilization and recovery from years of conflict. Pakistan’s call for international collaboration aims to ensure that the momentum in Syria is maintained, with a focus on humanitarian aid and political support.
