ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Headquarters, Malik Jameel Zafar, recently presided over a meeting to assess the progress of development and welfare projects within the Islamabad Police. The meeting was attended by key officers, including AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani, AIG General Syed Inayat Ali Shah, and SSP Model Prisons Ali Akbar.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting involved a comprehensive review of the ongoing and planned construction projects, infrastructure upgrades, welfare initiatives for police personnel, and improvements in residential and office facilities. The logistics and administrative affairs of the police were also discussed in detail.

DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar evaluated the progress of these projects, emphasizing the importance of transparent fund utilization and adherence to construction standards and timelines. He instructed the officers concerned to prioritize transparency and ensure that all development and welfare projects are completed efficiently to enhance the effectiveness of the Islamabad Police as a modern, professional, and public-oriented force.

Further directives were issued to utilize available resources to improve facilities for police personnel and to ensure the effective use of modern technology to boost institutional capacity. Malik Jameel Zafar also highlighted the need for continuous monitoring and regular performance reports to ensure projects meet their prescribed targets.
