Karachi: Pakistan Customs’ Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement has reported a 24 percent increase in intellectual property rights forfeiture and seizure cases over the past fiscal year, highlighting its ongoing efforts to combat counterfeit goods and strengthen border enforcement.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Directorate General’s annual performance statistics for the fiscal year 2025-26 recorded a total of 201 cases, up from 162 in the previous year. The seized and forfeited goods, valued at approximately 7.7 billion rupees, included a variety of counterfeit products such as luxury goods, textiles, automobile parts, cosmetics, footwear, and consumer durables.
