Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as the unlawful interception and detention of the Global Sumud Flotilla by Israeli forces in international waters. The flotilla, carrying humanitarian workers including Pakistani activist Saad Edhi, was reportedly intercepted, leading to the arbitrary detention and alleged mistreatment of its passengers.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan is demanding the immediate release of all detained activists and is urging the international community to uphold the safety, dignity, and fundamental rights of those held. The Ministry is maintaining communication with Pakistani diplomatic missions in the region to secure the safe return of any detained Pakistani nationals.
